This is a temporary page to explain and advertise Web Development service by Marc Dobson. Right now I'm to busy developing websites to put a lot of time into this site. Here's a quick explanation of what I do:

  • I build websites using HTML, PHP, MySQL, Flash with Open Source Applications.
  • I can build a static site using plain old HTML but...
  • I prefer to build sites that web site owners can easily editing themselves using Drupal "Drupal is equipped with a powerful blend of features, Drupal supports a variety of websites ranging from personal weblogs to large community-driven websites"

CURRENT PRICING

I build sites that other developers would charge $600 to $1,500 for.

Because I am building a portfolio I am currently charging $300 to $800 per site depending on complexity.

Some of what you get from a MarcRocs Drupal Site:

  • Custom theme (or template) for the site.
  • You will easily be able to edit 90% of the website or assign tasks to other person by creating user accounts, user accounts can be given different levels of access to view and edit content.
  • 90% of editing a page or adding items to a "list" is as simple as: log into site, view the page u wanna edit and hit edit or hit a shiny button to add something to a list. Lists can be photo's, employees, products and more.
  • I leave you and your users a custom set of directions.
  • You will have to download nothing, the site and all features are self contained.
  • I will come back and perform security updates for free.
  • 90% of the editing tasks are intuitive.... if you can write an email or word document and manage files on a computer (and read directions), you can manage a Drupal website I build.
  • When I'm done my tech support becomes limited to "if it's broke, I'll fix it" and "enough time to get you comfy". You manage your content. If you want additional features installed, me to manage content or extensive help... I charge you for it.
